Bogotá, Colombia, July 27, 2022. Within the framework of the tourist and cultural recovery that is taking place in 2022, the Volarte team, with the support of the Colombian Ministry of Culture, Banco de la República, the Opain concessionaire and the Hilton hotel, is pleased to announce the roll out of this great artistic exhibition, through large-format LED screens located in the public areas of El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá.
Volarte is a project that seeks to bring art and culture to the 40 million travelers who pass through the Airport facilities annually.
We will share with the public the most relevant collections of our cultural and artistic heritage, with a wonderful difference, these exhibitions will be displayed in state-of-the-art LED screens, which can project content in 360 degrees. This technology allows to maintain an excellent resolution of 3D content in large formats.
With this project we will promote museums, works and artists, including their history and trajectory, as well as the entities that support art in the region. In this way we ensure a new experience for the target audience and promote Colombia as a cultural tourist destination.
For the launch we will have digital content that includes important archaeological pieces from the Gold Museum, works from the Botero Museum, collections of colonial, modern and contemporary art from the Miguel Urrutia Art Museum, and art works from the Colombian coin family, all patrimonial treasures guarded by the Banco de la República.
By offering this art experience, El Dorado Airport reaffirms its commitment to culture, travelers and the airport community will enjoy the art collections in digital projections with 360° displays, an innovative experience that connects them with the art world.
The Ministry of Culture have endorsed this project, through its affiliated entity CoCrea, which seeks to strengthen the country's cultural and creative industries. It also has the Co Colombia country brand license, as a project that promotes tourism and general interest in our country.
Volarte expects to reach ten countries in Latin America before the end of 2022, and a total of twenty countries in the Americas and Europe by 2023. For this endeavor, it already has the support of museums, embassies and country brands within the region, such as Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico and Peru, among others.
