If you are traveling this holiday season, follow these recommendations from El Dorado Airport

  • Remember that the airport's technological services, provided for passenger transit, are completely free, so it is recommended not to accept any payment requests to prevent possible scams. Additionally, keep an eye on your personal belongings and avoid talking to strangers to prevent incidents.
  • With Biomig, travelers can save up to five minutes in migration processing time.
  • El Dorado offers travelers and visitors DoraBot, an artificial intelligence-based virtual assistant that provides real-time information on all aspects related to flights and airport services.
  • According to Aerocivil projections, approximately 23 million passengers on international flights and 33 million on domestic flights are expected to travel by the end of 2024, representing a 17% and 11% growth, respectively, compared to 2023.

Bogotá D.C., December 20, 2024. The year-end holidays are the perfect time to go on vacation or visit loved ones. For this reason, El Dorado International Airport is reinforcing its efforts to provide the best experience for all its travelers. During this period, the terminal expects to welcome more than 100,000 passengers daily.

To ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience, the airport recommends that passengers use the Biomig system to facilitate international migration processes. Colombian travelers can enroll in Biomig by visiting counter 68 on the second level, where they only need to present their passport to the migration officer to complete the registration.

Foreign travelers leaving the country can use the automated migration system without prior registration, simply by presenting their passport. This service is available to passengers over 14 years old entering Colombia.

To further enhance the travel experience, the airport has also introduced DoraBot, an AI-powered virtual assistant that provides real-time information on flights, travel procedures, shopping options, and airport services. DoraBot is available 24/7 to guide users through processes like check-in, document requirements, wait times, and more. Travelers are encouraged to download the virtual assistant through the WhatsApp link or by chatting with the number +57 322 8220300 to make their journey through the airport smoother and more convenient.

Additionally, El Dorado offers 46 self-check-in kiosks and 19 self-bag drop machines, allowing travelers to register their luggage without waiting in line. These are available in designated areas on the second floor of the airport.

To expedite the journey to domestic gates, the airport also provides 28 VeryPax machines for pre-security check-in, granting access to waiting lounges. It is recommended to increase the brightness on mobile phones or have a physical boarding pass ready for scanning, optimizing the use of these machines and saving time.

El Dorado Airport Recommends:

  • Arriving at the airport two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights.
  • Checking the special requirements for the destination city or country.
  • Downloading Check-Mig for international travel.
  • Printing or generating a digital boarding pass from the airline's website.
  • If traveling with pets, review the airline's requirements and policies in advance. The airport offers 10 pet relief areas, located in public zones and gates, for the comfort of travelers. Remember to clean up after your pets and keep dogs on a leash and cats in carriers to prevent incidents with other passengers.
  • For greater security and convenience, use the authorized transportation services provided by the airport.
  • On the day of travel, check traffic conditions to avoid delays due to congestion.
  • Report any suspicious behavior to airport staff or the National Police.
  • Stay alert to personal belongings, review the list of prohibited items, and carry all necessary travel documents.
  • Remember that all airport technology services, including self-check-in, VeryPax, DoraBot, and others, are completely free. It is not necessary to pay for them, so avoid any payment requests to prevent potential scams.
