Bogotá D.C., February 10, 2025. This award recognizes the exceptional performance of the airport terminal in terms of passenger impact, operational excellence, and growth.
To grant this award, Cirium conducts a comprehensive evaluation of airport performance through a series of key indicators. These include:
Passenger Impact: Measures the volume of travelers affected by delays, distinguishing between airports with minimal disruptions and those with more significant impacts.
Traffic Flow Optimization: Evaluates the airport's ability to optimize air traffic flow and minimize disruptions.
Growth and Connectivity: Considers variables such as the number of destinations served, reflecting the airport's capacity to connect with other cities and regions; passenger volume, assessed based on the total number of seats arriving and departing; and year-over-year growth in flight frequency and passenger capacity, demonstrating the sustained expansion of the airport.
