Bogotá D.C., September 8, 2022 - Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport has been chosen as the leading airport in South America at the 29th edition of the World Travel Awards. These awards were established in 1993 to recognize, reward, and celebrate excellence in all key sectors of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. Today, this brand is globally recognized as the ultimate hallmark of excellence in the industry.
In 2020, El Dorado received this prestigious award for the first time, recognizing the top players in the tourism industry by region. This year, it once again earns this title. The winners were announced at the 2022 Caribbean and Americas Gala Ceremony of the WTA, held at Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica, with the attendance of key decision-makers, figures, and influencers in the tourism sector.
