Frequently Asked Questions
El Dorado Airport is adopting the best practices of renowned international airports to provide passengers with an easy, comfortable, and intuitive experience from the moment they arrive at the terminal. By assigning colors and letters, we are providing a clear visual reference that allows travelers to quickly identify their location and reach the pier according to whether it's a domestic or international journey.
Within the airport, all signage provides directions and guidance to lead you to the
domestic or international pier using letters and colors.
In addition, it will provide walking times to the designated area, allowing you
to move without complications.
• For International Travel:
The international pier will be
designated with letters A and B in blue. Entry is through the same
door to facilitate the immigration process.
• For Domestic Travel:
There are 2 piers with different
accesses:
Pier with letter C in orange
Pier with letter D in
green.
Depending on the airline you are traveling with, you should enter the assigned
pier.
The signage for airport services such as restrooms, stairs, elevators, ATMs,
restaurants, and more will not change.
Yes, the numbering changes. From the moment you arrive at the terminal, you will notice that exit gate number 9 for international departures is now gate number 1, and so on in the direction in which vehicles circulate. This numbering change applies to both the first and second floors.
If your flight is international, identify the entrances to the piers
with letters A and B.
If your flight is domestic, you should enter the pier with
letters C or D depending on the airline you are traveling with.
Once you are inside each pier (A, B, C, or D), you can locate the gate number
assigned. The gates will be numbered sequentially, starting with number 1. For
example, in pier A, you will find the gates as follows: A1, A2, A3, A4, etc.
The signage inside each pier will guide you in the direction to take and provide
walking times to the boarding gate. Flight information display modules inside each
pier will indicate the assigned boarding gate, allowing you to easily follow the
signs.
This depends on the airline you are traveling with. Each airline defines whether the boarding gate assignment will appear on their boarding passes. If this information does not appear on your boarding pass, don't worry; you can look for the assigned boarding gate in the information display modules located in the terminal, on the El Dorado website, or in our app, provided that the flight's boarding gate has already been assigned.
In the information display modules before entering the piers, you will only find
the letter of the pier to which you should go. Once inside the pier, the
information display modules will indicate the assigned boarding gate number.
For example: You have found that your flight is assigned to pier A, so you
should follow the signs to enter the pier. Inside the pier, the screens will
indicate the assigned flight gate with a letter and number: A1.
We provide our website and El Dorado Airport app, where you can check detailed flight information in the flights section. Enter the flight number, airline, or destination city in the search bar, and you will find the boarding gate information.
No, the location of the piers and boarding lounges remains the same; the only difference you will find is the way they are identified. For international flights, you will find piers A and B in blue, and for domestic flights, C in orange and D in green.
You can approach information points or seek assistance from staff members identified with vests who will be walking inside the terminal, ready to help and guide you in the right direction.
No, the arrival and departure of passengers remain in the same location. The first floor is designated for receiving travelers arriving at the airport, while the second floor is for travelers who need to catch a flight.
No, the location of commercial establishments, airline check-in counters, and authority offices remains the same.
You can find airline service counters on the second floor of the airport.
For the convenience of all our passengers, none of our airport processes have been modified.
No, Terminal 2 (Puente Aéreo) will not change its orientation system. You will continue to find boarding gates from 1 to 5 with a single entry to the pier.
