General Information

If you are on a connecting flight in Bogotá, El Dorado Airport and the city of Bogotá open their doors for you to enjoy your stay in Colombia.

Visas

All passengers in transit or with a connection must enter Colombian territory to make their flight transit. If the passenger is a foreign citizen, they are required to have a transit visa, which must be processed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cancillería de la República). The transit visa is valid for 30 days and allows citizens in transit to circulate in the international transit area for a period of 24 hours. Passengers who do not require a visa must carry a valid identification document and can move freely through all areas of the airport.
