Bogotá, September 6, 2023. El Dorado International Airport now hosts Paraíso, a store showcasing 100% Colombian brands, a multi-brand store that reflects the creativity, innovation, and diversity of local brands in fashion, accessories, home goods, pets, and decoration. This new 670 m2 space features the presence of over 40 national enterprises, aiming to provide visibility and support as engines of local industries.
The opening of Paraíso is part of the airport's strategy to improve the experience and service for passengers and terminal users. Through the gathered enterprises, people can discover the cultural and creative richness of Colombians, learn about the opportunities created by local industries, and support the social and sustainable background of each brand. In this space, you can find brands dedicated to reducing the use of polluting materials in clothing and footwear production, supporting responsible jewelry projects, and promoting circular economy processes, among others.
"With this new space, we aim to take a step forward in promoting local entrepreneurial spirit and serving as a global showcase for the creativity and talent of our country. Paraíso is much more than a store; it is a platform dedicated to promoting the success stories of 100% Colombian brands that have emerged with meaningful purposes, such as environmental conservation, assisting vulnerable populations, strengthening the circular economy, among others. Furthermore, it offers an unparalleled shopping experience through warm service and an atmosphere and design that will transport our travelers and visitors elsewhere. Thus, we continue to advance our purpose of providing an exceptional experience at El Dorado," says Natalí Leal, General Manager of Opain.
Paraíso is located in the southern area of the airport, on the second floor, next to National Pier D (green color), and features a cozy and paradisiacal space. Currently, 40 businesses are open to the public, although it has the capacity to accommodate approximately 50 brands.
As part of the opening, strategic partners have joined the project, such as Credibanco, a leading payment network administrator and developer, which seeks to promote formalization, financial inclusion, and increased sales through agile, innovative, and secure payment methods.
"We are very proud to support the Colombian brands that are part of Paraíso. We have joined this initiative by providing them with the latest technology smart terminals, which allow for app downloads, expanding the range of services and delivering greater value to their customers. Within our offering, we have provided analytics tools to understand the traveler and visitor profile, delivering added value to El Dorado in its business strategies. Likewise, these solutions contribute to the sustainability goals of participating brands by saving paper through digital vouchers," says Elena Sánchez, Manager of Corporate and SMEs at Credibanco.
Through this initiative, El Dorado International Airport reaffirms its commitment to providing the best experience to the 36 million travelers it receives annually, through a diverse commercial offering and Paraíso, a local emblem offering new opportunities for Colombian entrepreneurship.
