El Dorado: The best airport in South America according to Skytrax
- The British firm Skytrax measures the satisfaction index of users through a survey to evaluate different performance indicators based on their experience as travelers: check in, security, immigration, shopping and boarding.
- El Dorado obtained a score that places it above airports in cities such as Lima, Santiago, Rio de Janeiro, and Sao Paulo.
Bogotá DC, June 16, 2022 - El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá has been chosen as the best airport in South America according to Skytrax, a British firm in charge of evaluating the service offered by airports around the world. For this occasion, the customer service and facilities of more than 500 airports worldwide were considered for the survey.
Skytrax annually performs a global user satisfaction survey to find out about the customer experience with airport products and services, such as: signaling, check-in, arrivals, transfers between terminals, purchases, security and immigration services until departure at the boarding gate.
Andrés Ortega, General Manager of OPAIN, indicated that this recognition is not only for the concessionaire but for the entire airport community that makes the terminal’s operation possible. “We are the best airport in South America thanks to the work and effort of this talented team of collaborators and allies that belong to the airport community.
