El Dorado Informs

Bogota, April 2020

With the ongoing process of disinfection and cleaning to effectively combat COVID-19, we will be having two days of disinfection sessions inorder to disinfect roads, sidewalks and whereabouts of El Dorado Airport, on the 16th and 17th of April in cooperation with Cementos Argos. Disinfection begins on Thursday, April 16 at 9:00 am on the surface and under the viaduct in the outer area of the airport. The cleaning is to be undertaken in these areas and will be possible by using three mixer trucks with a capacity of 7m3 of water and detergent for industrial use broad-spectrum. In turn, 30 people will be brushing surfaces and to finalize, a fire truck form the Airport FD will remove the soap with their high pressure hoses.

Thus, Cementos Argos joins the disinfection campaign of strategic sites in several cities in order to join efforts and contribute to the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19. To date, Argos has contributed to this work in about 25 key areas in Bogota, Medellin, Sabaneta, Bello, Itagüí, Barraquilla and Armenia. The company will continue to have these sessions across the country.

These cleaning sessions will complement the El Dorado Airport disinfection plan, and seeks to remove microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria, viruses and all forms of microbial life by thermospray, atomization and spraying methods with quaternary disinfectant (high range) done in internal and external areas of the terminals: T1 - International; T2 - National; Cargo Terminals; Load Administrative Center; and administrative offices.
