El Dorado Airport Turns Pink: Free Breast Exams and Educational Campaigns at Terminal 1
- From October 8 to 29, travelers, the airport community, and neighboring communities of El Dorado Airport will be able to schedule a free breast exam at the airport.
Bogotá, October 8, 2024. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, El Dorado, in partnership with the Amese Foundation, will be offering free breast exams to help prevent this disease.
Throughout October, El Dorado, which will be transformed into “El Rosado” (The Pink), will light up its facilities in bright pink, sending a clear message to the thousands of visitors it receives daily about the importance of early breast exams for breast cancer prevention. Additionally, from October 8 to 29, passengers, the airport community, and neighbors can schedule a completely free breast exam with healthcare professionals stationed at the airport’s medical center.
Appointments for the exams will be available between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
Furthermore, starting October 8, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, El Dorado and the Amese Foundation will be hosting awareness and educational teams to inform the public about solutions available to prevent this disease.
El Dorado reaffirms its commitment to the fight against this disease, which impacts the lives of thousands of citizens each year. The airport also encourages the entire airport community to take advantage of these initiatives to help prevent and combat breast cancer.
